STREET ART

I have always been fascinated with Street Art... It's raw invasion into the world. It's unique ability to shove itself right in the face of anyone and everyone.

I recently came across the work of a French artist who goes by the name of 'Monsier Qui'. He uses the streets of Paris as his canvas..  He does a lot of customisation on various materials from plates, sneakers, to guitars or even skateboards. This is some of his OUTDOOR work..

Wow, just stumbled across this incredible combination of Street Art photography and portraits of everyday people. Gabriel Mendes (who is now based in Singapore shooting weddings... uurgh) is a Brazillian/New Yorker photographer and this is a project of his shot between 2006 and 2008 on the streets of  New York, Rio, Sao Paulo and LA. He shoots random people in front of beautiful graffiti murals... Just stunning!

Haunting street art by Alexandre Farto AKA 'Vihls'. This is truly fantastic work.

Mr. Hou is considered to be 'an Average Joe' who has recently become popular for his 3D Street Art by photos of his work being posted on a popular Chinese Forum. I think his work, though simple and minimalist, is just spectacular. All done with chalk....
