I love dance. I love the human body. I love to watch people move, twist, turn, leap, fall and play. This page is a collection of 'moving bodies' that inspire me to move my own body in weird and wonderful ways.

Jirí Kylián (Prague, 1947) started his dance training when he was nine years old at the ballet school of the Prague National Theatre. From the age of fifteen he studied at the Prague Conservatory.

"Having created a unique and very personal style in the course of the years - Kylián's choreographies defy academic categorization blending elements of many sources. There are always new inspirations to be explored, new challenges and boundaries to be overcome. Profoundly based on musical reading - there is something in his work deeply penetrating into the mystery of the human being itself, unveiling hidden traces through his dance."

I just love the whole concept of Contact Improvisation. Having spent some time experimenting with it and playing with the way it envokes the most fluid, natural movements, I can't help but appreciate this....
